The hotel was an amazing base for enjoying a nice enough area, near the early ferry as well as the Balestrand. The room was absolutely great and the facilities included central heating and a seating area. There was a bathtub too.

Marvellous location close to a ferry port, easy to get around. Booked a reasonably spacious room with tea and fjord view, for example. Amazingly kind and very courteous staff throughout our stay.

Arriving late, the host went above and beyond to check us in and serve us warm salmon dinners. The location and view were mind-blowing. The breakfast buffet was abundant and the option to pack lunch was super convenient. The dinners were excellent with a jaw-dropping view. The patio areas offered stunning fjord views. The wifi worked well and the bed was comfy. The graciousness and kindness of the hosts made our stay unforgettable.

staff very helpful. hotel is on the other side of the fjord, beautiful idyllic location, but not so convenient. we had some vegetarians in the group and the staff was kind enough to accomodate some food we were carrying. rooms are basic but clean.

food was expensive and there are no options to eat except the hotel restaurant.

Both rooms we booked were nicely decorated and spotless with electric beds, even terrace and Oven. Minute away from a ferry port, the location was stunning and incredible, also very close to the ferry dock. The staff was very helpful & excellent.

Amazing views, family run hotel, accommodating staff, great breakfast, good hiking.

Wonderful little hotel with amazing view over the mountains and the fjord, nice restaurant. Exceptionally comfortable beds, central heating and a seating area in the room. Marvellous location, easy to get around Balestrand by a ferry port located close to the venue. Really enjoyed very relaxing area. Great choice for trip;)))

Value for money was exceptional, with a room that had so much quaint character and a cool breeze coming in from the fjords. The location was simply stunning, with beautiful views and picturesque drives in all directions. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, even providing assistance when we needed ice for an injury.

Breakfast selection could have been slightly better with a wider variety of options.

One of the few hotels were we could have a room with four people. Nice buffet breakfast with a great view. Our room had a balcony with a nice view of Ballestrand and the Sognadal Fjord. Staff were very nice.

Special hotel with bright rooms and exceptional view over the mountains and the fjord. Continental breakfast with comprehensive selection. Brilliant and marvellous location in Balestrand, just off the majestic mountains and peaceful waters and the ferry boat. Also, near the fjord.

I loved the room, the bed was very comfy. Hotel's location was LOVELY as it was minute away from a ferry port.

Overall had comfortable stay for two nights. Pleasant staff, as it had to be. My room with a great view, armchairs plus lovely balcony was fairly quiet. The location on the North shore of the Sognefjorden was awesome.

Sadly, there was no store.

Clean place with magnificent view over the mountains and the fjord. What a great location right next to car ferry point! So close to the shore, Balestrand and the surrounding area and a peninsula within the worlds largest fjord. Totally wonderful stay on our road trip.
